Arsenal update: Declan Rice has been given instructions by Manchester City while Edu pursues a three-player transfer deal.

Get the latest updates on Arsenal, including news about Declan Rice from West Ham United, Kai Havertz from Chelsea, and Jurrien Timber from Ajax in the transfer gossip.

Declan Rice has received instructions from Manchester City regarding his potential move to the club.

Manchester City has advised West Ham’s captain, Declan Rice, to choose them over Arsenal. Arsenal’s two bids for Rice this summer, including the latest offer of £75 million plus £15 million in add-ons, have been turned down by West Ham. However, Manchester City has now reportedly joined the pursuit for the midfielder. West Ham values their captain at around £100 million, and former striker Robbie Fowler strongly believes that Rice should join Pep Guardiola’s team.

Fowler expressed his opinion in his column for the Mirror, stating, “If Declan Rice wants to win trophies, he must sign for Manchester City. I apologize to any Arsenal fans who think that the West Ham midfielder can reach his full potential by moving within London. The reality is that Arsenal is a team in progress that exceeded expectations last season but still finished behind City.”

“When a player signs up for Pep Guardiola at the Etihad, one thing is guaranteed: a collection of medals. Just look at the previous midfielder who cost City £100 million. Since leaving Aston Villa two years ago, Jack Grealish has won the Champions League, two Premier League titles, and the FA Cup. It’s no wonder Jack celebrated when City completed the Treble!”

Mikel Arteta provides a response to a question about Declan Rice.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is determined to bolster his team during the summer transfer window, with the goal of launching another title challenge in the upcoming season. The Gunners are already closing in on a deal for Chelsea forward Kai Havertz, and there are reports suggesting their interest in Ajax defender Jurrien Timber and West Ham captain Declan Rice.

During an in-depth interview with Marca, Arteta essentially confirmed the club’s interest in Havertz. However, when asked about a potential record-breaking transfer for Rice, the Spaniard chose to remain tight-lipped.

“I cannot discuss players who are not part of the club. I prefer not to comment,” replied Arteta when questioned about the West Ham captain.
